Course Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years’ old
- Must be a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor
- Have an enthusiastic attitude and want to have FUN!
Diving Equipment Needed
You will need all of your own personal dive equipment, which includes a mask, snorkel, fins, boots, gloves, wetsuit, hood, BCD, regulator, gauges, tanks, weight belt, weights and gear bag. There may be other equipment needed, depending on which Instructor level specialty is taken.
Course Scheduling
Orientation: One hour of course logistics, paperwork and equipment fitting
Classroom: One, two-hour classroom session for each specialty.
Pool: One pool session of two hours, for each specialty taken.
Open Water Dives: One to two days in an open water environment (ocean or lake,) where you will complete both the diver and instructor level skills for each of the open water dives for each specialty.
Your Instructor may adjust the schedule according to class needs.

- The minimum age for these courses vary, please check with DNT Staff to confirm.
- There is an extra fee for the following: PADI Student Kit, DVD, handouts, applicable taxes, rental equipment or any boat trips. These must be paid during the orientation. The Instructor fee will be paid directly to the instructor.Please take the time to familiarize yourself with your course materials and make sure to review the introduction in the course materials prior to your first class.
